I have been natural for almost a year. I decide to go natural after going through all the ups and downs with the chemical relaxer. I always wanted long healthy hair, but I didn't know how to go about it. I trusted cosmologist after cosmologist to show me the way. I also tried things on my own. Finally, I decide to make a change . After a lot of reading, research, and support of my loving husband and family, I decide to go natural. In December '07 I stop relaxing my hair and I did the big chop in Nov '08. I found a natural stylist in my area and she has help all the way. I have tried so many products in order to find out what works for my hair type. I am always open to new products and hearing new things. That is how I found this site.

February 2009 - It has been a year and four months since my big chop and I have learned so much about my hair and I'm still learning. I have read several books and became member of so many hair forums and with the help of everyone on YouTube, Fotki, and all my hair forums (too many to name) I have put together my own hair regimen. I still haven't found that prefect product, but I know it is out there. I have a very limit budget now that we are in a finical crisis, so with the help of YouTube and hair forum I have started making my own hair mixes. I hope to see a great progress with my hair this year. With that being said, I have set some goals for my self. My goals are for longer, stronger, fuller, healthier hair.
